Second courses
Uzbek national cuisine is rich for different nourishing meals. Among second (main) courses the most famous meal is plov. Plov in Uzbekistan is made in several ways. In every region there are original type of preparation plov. They differ from each other with consistence, spices presence and way of preparation. Besides plov the following meals can be referred to second courses: dimlama a meal that is prepared not by frying, but stewing, jarkop (roast), manty a meal that is prepared on steam, kabob (shashlyk) and others. The meal mostly used in preparation of these meals is mutton. More rarely is using of beef, horse-meat or birds meat.
